Well I have been a busy little girl the last several weeks, and have not updated my blog in ages! I have several adventures to share with you all, and I'll start with a recent trip we took to a friend's ranch!
We got up early one Saturday and went on a long drive. I took a little bit of a nap until we arrived. When we pulled up to a big, log cabin, I peeked out the window. Mom and dad got me out of the car, and there were chickens running around everywhere! I giggled excitedly. Grandma and grandpa were there too, since the ranch belonged to a friend of theirs. We all headed down to the stables, where a bunch of mommy and baby horses were. The nice man that owns the ranch, Mr. Wallis, said I could ride one of the horses! He and grandpa walked alongside the horse, while I rode the horsie around outside the stable.
It was so much fun! After I finished my ride, we all went to meet the cows. They are named "How" and "Now". How wanted to wear my hat, so mommy put it on her head. She looked so pretty! She nuzzled my hand with her nose, I liked that! We went into the barn then to see where the cows get milked and the horses live.
We also found out that one of the baby horses had just been born that morning, only about an hour before we arrived, how neat is that?! There were lots more baby animals to see though, so next we headed up to the chicken shed. Inside there were tons and tons of baby chickens! They were so tiny and cute! I also got to pet a baby turkey - I had to be extra gentle so I didn't squash him!
When we left the chickens, we were greeted by a sweet doggy that followed us around for the rest of our visit. I liked her a lot, she licked my hand and let me pet her! The adults took a break to talk while I played with the doggy. There was a really neat chuckwagon nearby, with big bright red wheels! Mom told me that sometimes they have dinners at the chuckwagon, and that one day we might get to come back for one!
While the grownups talked, I explored. I met a nice kitty cat that really seemed to like me! I had never met a kitty before, and this one was extra nice. She rubbed up against my leg and purred.
This made me laugh! I had so much fun at the ranch, all I could do on the way home was talk about all the animals, the horses and chickens and doggy and kitty! I cannot wait to go back to the ranch soon! Stay tuned, I have lots more fun to share, but I'll leave you for now with a cute picture of a mommy and baby horsie :) Neigh!

Oh my gosh! I had a nice comment all typed out and it disappeared :(
I wish I could have seen the newborn horsie too! Talk about exciting!
Was the Mommy taking good care of it?
I'm so glad you had such a super day!
Yes! The baby horse was drinking milk from the mommy! It was still a little bit wobbly, but standing up pretty good for a baby horse! It was so so neat! :)
