Hippity Hoppity Easter!

Hello everyone! I have a big update to share with you all - and it is all about my Easter!

On Friday before Easter mom boiled a bunch of eggs and then she and daddy and I sat down at the table to color them and make them pretty! We put the eggs into little bags and added drops of metallic dye, then rubbed the egg around until it was all spotted and shiny! I loved all the pretty colors, and kept shouting "eggies!" excitedly. Mommy dropped and cracked one, then daddy laughed at her and told her to be more careful haha. When all the eggies were dry, we put them in a basket - they looked so shiny and beautiful!!!
On Saturday we were going to go to the city-wide easter egg hunt - I was all prepared to run fast and get a LOT of eggies - but sadly it snowed bunches and on top of that, mommy was feeling very sick. So we didn't get to go, but dad promised we would have one of our own, so we did! Mom hid eggies all over the living room. When I came out to look for eggies, Sasha had beat me to one already! It was all slobbery, ew! I looked and looked for the rest of the eggies and found them all! I put them into my basket, then I took them all out and played with the shiny easter grass, it was so much fun!
On Sunday morning we got up and got ready for church, but mom was REALLY sick by this time, and was even crying, so dad said he would stay home with me and read me the easter story while mom went to the urgent care to see a doctor. Before she left, she and daddy gave me my easter basket - it was a cute metal pail with a bunny on it! Inside was a Reese's bunny, a bunch of eggies filled with candy, a flower (pinwheel), and a book, Biscuit's Easter... Biscuit is my favorite! I looked through my basket and had so much fun playing with everything, even the grass! I threw it all over shouting "weeds!" Soon, mommy left and daddy and I read about Jesus in my little Bible. We read how He died on the cross for all of us, and how on Easter He rose from the dead and lives forever :) When mommy got home she told daddy she had a "sinus infection" AND an "ear infection". Poor mommy! I gave her hugs, and after lunch we all laid down to take a nap.
After we napped, we all felt a little bit better. Mom set up her computer and web cam, and daddy called my Nanu & GrandBob so I could open my easter present from them! It came in a big brown box - daddy helped me open it and I peeked inside. There was a big pink bunny holding a little yellow chick. I pushed its foot and it began to sing and dance! I LOVE that bunny, it is my new favorite toy - I've even run the batteries down in it! But there was even more goodies in there for me :) A plastic egg with a wind-up butterfly inside that rolls around and flaps its wings - I love butterflies! And I got an awesome cup that says "princess" on it in pink letters and LIGHTS UP! It is so cool! Thank you so much Nanu & GrandBob, I love you! And my Great Grandma and Aunt Liz got to see me on web cam too, it was like a party :)
So even though it was snowy and mommy was sick, Easter was still egg-stra special! And mommy is better now too :) I hope all of you had a very happy and blessed Easter!
